I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of M.O your Confidential Despatch of the 14th. February regarding the 5969

operations of the Russian and English Trade and Transport Associa-

-tion.

The Hang Mow firm and its Managers Chu Ting- -cheung and Mok Wan have long been under suspicion as being engaged in smuggling opium, morphia, and cocaine; and a watch has been kept upon them, though without effect.
